Kawaguchiko, Yoshida Travel Guides

The area around the Fuji Five Lakes, created by the eruption of Mt. Fuji, is an ideal place for leisure activities such as camping and barbecues. Oshinohakkai, which is registered as a World Heritage site as the home of Fuji spring water, is also recommended.

Fuji, Lake Kawaguchi, and Lake Yamanaka, sightseeing events such as the Mt. Fuji Marathon, Kawaguchiko Herb Festival, and Hachisaku Festival, and local delicacies such as Hoto, horse sashimi, and Shingen pudding are available in the Kawaguchiko and Fujiyoshida area.

The Kawaguchiko and Fujiyoshida area is a tourist spot surrounded by nature, and is one of the best driving courses in Japan, offering a variety of scenery around Mt.

Fuji Five Lakes, and the surrounding area is a vast natural area where you can enjoy a wide range of leisure facilities and amusement activities.

The Fuji Five Lakes include Lake Kawaguchi, the largest and most famous lake, Lake Yamanaka, the deepest lake with many rare freshwater fish, Lake Shojin, where Mount Fuji is most beautifully seen, Lake Nishiko, known as the habitat of the Fuji Marimo, and Lake Motosu, the original "upside down Fuji" design on the 1,000 yen bill.

Driving courses and tours around these five lakes offer very dynamic scenery.

Fuji seen from Lake Yamanaka is breathtaking, and its size and closeness are intimidating. Fuji seen over "Hananomiyako Park" is also a beautiful sight. In the surrounding area, take a break at "Oshinohakkai," a village of famous water located nearby. Mysterious and recognized as part of the World Heritage Site, each of the eight seas has its own unique appearance.

If you stop by Lake Kawaguchi, take a break at the "Kawaguchiko Music Box Museum," and you will be involuntarily soothed by the exhibits inside.

Around Lake Nishiko, the famous "Aokigahara Sea of Trees" stretches along the road, and you can once again feel the vastness of nature around Fuji.

If you head southwest, you will reach Lake Shojiko and Lake Motosuko areas, which are recommended for commemorative photos. It is a good idea to take a commemorative photo at the spot you think is the best place to do so.

Continuing south, you will see the famous "Shiraito Falls" in the midst of a vast expanse of trees. This waterfall is truly mysterious, so be sure to stop by.

Fuji to the east, you will find the famous "Fujikyu Highland. Fuji-Q Highland offers a variety of attractions that are full of frightening experiences, such as the "High Flyer," which has a maximum drop angle of 12 degrees, "Ee-jana-jana," "Dodomba," and "FUJIYAMA.

For families, there is also "Thomas Land" with "Thomas the Locomotive," which can be enjoyed by families with children.

The highway is one minute from the Kawaguchiko IC of the Chuo Expressway and a short walk from Fujikyu Highland Station of Fujikyu Line, so it is easy to get around. If possible, we recommend using a rental car for a round trip with the Fuji Five Lakes.
