Kiyosato, Kobuchizawa Travel Guides

The Kiyosato and Kobuchizawa areas spread out at the southern foot of Mt. The area is popular for highland camping and other leisure activities. The area is famous for its soft-serve ice cream made from raw milk from nearby farms.

The Kiyosato-Kobuchizawa area offers tourist attractions such as Fossa Magna, Oshirakawa Valley, and Kiyosato Plateau; sightseeing events such as the Tulip Festival, Cold Weather Fair, and Nagasawa Carp Streamer Festival; and local delicacies such as Hoto, horse sashimi, and Yoshida udon noodles.

Kobuchizawa is an area located south of "Lake Suwa," which is also famous for "Shingen Takeda." Anyway, it is known as an area with a variety of sports, from "horseback riding" to "tennis," "golf," and "skiing" in winter. Many pensions are available for overnight stays, and you can enjoy stylish dinners.

There are also many sightseeing spots nearby, such as "Zyuryu no Taki" waterfall, and in winter it is a mecca for skiing and snowboarding, making it an area that can be enjoyed in any season.

The Kiyosato Plateau is a magnificent plateau with a panoramic view of mountains on a grand scale, including the Yatsugatake Mountains, the Southern Alps, and Mt.

The area is rich in nature and dairy farming is thriving, so you can enjoy the delicious taste of dairy and livestock products that only the local people can provide. The famous Jersey cows are also produced here, and the milk, cheese, and ice cream sold at the Yatsugatake Central Agricultural College, located on the Yatsugatake Farm, are so delicious that they will make your cheeks drop.

Other famous agricultural products include the "Mura no Eki: Mukawa Agricultural Products Direct Sales Center," which sells "Mukawa rice," known as "phantom rice," the "Nakamura Farm Direct Sales Center," which sells "Yatsugatake eggs," famous for "Koshu Jidori," and "Delicious Market" and "Panorama Market," which sell fresh vegetables and fruits, are also delicious direct sales places.

It is not only gourmet food that is famous. Various hot spring resorts dot the area, and this area is no exception, with hot springs scattered throughout the area.

There is the Tateshina Onsen, which is said to have been used by Takeda Shingen as a hidden, secluded hot spring, the newly opened KEEP Onsen at the foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains, and the Artist's Hot Spring and Open-air Bath, also located on the Yatsugatake Mountains, each with its own unique characteristics.

Both are sodium mineral springs that are very good for one's health and are popular for their smooth skin. For both hot springs, you will want to enjoy them to your heart's content while taking in the elegant scenery.
